proprty.ai has been named the winner of the Basic Data Award 2025 for the company's innovative use of public data and artificial intelligence to streamline condition assessment and maintenance planning on properties.
The award was presented at the conference Denmark Data at the Danish Climate Data Agency, Danish IT and the IT industry. The Basic Data Prize is awarded each year to a private company that uses public basic data to drive innovation, growth and community value, and this year the honor went to proprty.ai.
Recognition for innovation and community value
The jury highlighted proprty.ai's innovative use of baseline data and AI to automate and streamline condition assessments and maintenance planning on properties.
The solution combines public and proprietary data to give property owners a full view of buildings' condition, residual life and financial backlog, so maintenance can be planned more preventively and sustainably.
“Basic data gives us the key to creating an instant overview of entire property portfolios, even for clients who do not have data themselves. This means we can replace expensive emergency maintenance with planned, preventative interventions and create up to four times more value for the same investment. This results in healthier buildings, higher returns and a lower CO₂ footprint,” says Anders Holm Jørgensen, Founder & CEO of proprty.ai.
Public data as Danish strength
Denmark is internationally recognized for its access to and quality of public data, and this has been crucial for proprty.ai's development.
“Denmark is a leader when it comes to access and quality of public data. That position has allowed us to build and train some of the world's most accurate AI models for real estate maintenance. What's special is that we can now take that technology out into the world and create value in markets where public data is not yet as accessible,” says Ian Victor Magid Kjær, Co-founder & CTO of proprty.ai.
This approach shows how Danish data can be the foundation for global innovation and sustainable growth.
An award that highlights the value of basic data
Besides proprty.ai, Koordinat and Gloam were among this year's nominees.
This is the fourth time the Basic Data Prize has been awarded and its purpose is to highlight how coherent basic data can be used for innovation, growth and green transformation.
“We are incredibly proud of the recognition and to be among so many strong Danish companies that use public data to create real value for society,” says Anders Holm Jørgensen.
