This is a paradigm shift in standard software, from Embedded AI to AI-Centered Innovation

Initially, the discussion was about how to move on-premise software to the cloud and see the new generation that was 'born in the cloud' and multi-tenant from birth. But now the time has come to look at the next step, where we discuss the difference between software built around AI and software built around AI. This paradigm shift will constitute a new era of software and once again the products will be split into two teams. Born and built around an AI experience and those who have built it on as an afterthought.

For quite natural reasons, most products with AI on the market today are considered as an afterthought that has arisen in software development. It was something that could be “built on” to improve certain functions such as automation, data analysis or recommendations. This certainly provided value, but it had its limitations.

Today we are seeing a movement towards software built around an AI model, and this is changing the game in several ways:

1. Deeper Intelligence:

The AI model is the software. It acts on completely different terms and can handle business processes with an autonomy with self-perceiving context. The intelligence is embedded from the start, meaning there is a coherent AI across multiple business processes.

With AI at the core of the software, developers can deploy new features and updates faster and more efficiently.

3. Continuous Learning:

The software can learn and adapt over time using machine learning, resulting in a more personalized and efficient user experience. Multiple feedback loops are built into the user experience, which means that the AI is always trained and improved without the user noticing it.

4. The App as a Facilitator:

Instead of being the primary actor, the app now becomes a facilitator between the user and the AI model. This makes it easier for users to tap into AI's potential without technical complexities.

The straight path does not exist, but the benefits are noticeable

Of course, there are also challenges in building software around an AI model, such as the complexity of AI implementation and the need for quality data. But the benefits are indisputable. Software built around AI is smarter, more dynamic and more capable of meeting users' needs in real time.

This new era in software development has the potential to revolutionise the real estate industry and the timing could not be more welcome, with the, for some, invasive regulations coming into force, including the EU Taxonomy.
