How we chose our technology stack as a tech startup

How we chose our technology stack as a tech startup

Modern Technologies With Wide Adoption: For us, it was important to use technologies that are not only at the forefront of development, but also have a strong community behind them. This gives us access to a range of bespoke tools, finished products and packages that we can use directly in our projects.

Not Reinventing the Wheel: Our focus has always been to create great products. Instead of wasting time and resources reinventing the wheel, we wanted to leverage pre-existing technologies that can help us deliver quality products quickly.

Our Picks: After careful consideration, we decided to adopt the following technologies:

Supabase: An open source alternative to Firebase, which gives us a fast backend with authentication, real-time databases and auto-generated APIs.

Vercel: Perfect for hosting and deploying our NextJS apps with great performance.

NextJS: Allows us for server side rendering, which optimizes our web apps for both performance and SEO.

PostgreSQL: A reliable and robust database with a long history in the tech world.

React: One of the most popular front-end libraries that gives us flexibility and efficiency in our UI development.

MUI (Material UI): A UI design system and framework that makes it easy for us to create beautiful and responsive user interfaces.

Zustend: A minimal yet powerful state manager that fits well with our React-based apps.

GDPR: Protecting our users' data has always been a priority. The choice of our technology stack also takes into account GDPR compliance, so that our users' information remains secure and protected.

Conclusion: We are incredibly pleased with the technologies we have chosen. Thanks to them, we can now focus on what really matters — delivering great products to our users. With strong support from the community and the many out-of-the-box features, our future is bright and promising. 💪
